It's ALL about the money. So called conservatives don't care about the environment because by the time the drastic impact of global warming occurs they will be long gone.
Can you imagine being so selfish that you don't care about your own grandchildren...?

The earth has warmed and cooled since it was created...or have you all forgotten that there really was an Ice Age and that glaciers are in part or wholly responsible for much of the "natural" landscape in America?
So it would stand to reason that the climate is warmer than it once was...but that does not mean that it is not a natural occurrence.
Let's assume it was a natural occurrence- that the earth, much like everything else on the planet, goes through cycles. Any attempt to alter the natural course of events is little more than the arrogance of Man to attempt to control that which he does not need to control: Nature.
Nature has its own checks and balances, most of those we, as humans thwart by doing thing to mimic nature. Crops do not naturally grow in rows. Water does not come in bottles. Rain is the natural sprinkler.
Man was not meant to survive in such numbers but we built structures like mountains to house as many as we could with water flowing to each cave we call rooms that was filtered and purified because our bodies could suffer should we drink the water that flow from the streams. We live longer lives but suffer longer deaths- so afraid to die we fight the inevitable while franticly looking to preserve our survival long past its natural order...I do not know what the consequences will be, but neither do you.
The efforts to fight "global warming" is selfishness in the most perverted sense: it's a fear of dying for some, the conquest of nature to others, and the thumbing of our noses to God for others still.
There is no altruistic motive in this. I'll pray for Humanity, but I'll sacrifice to God.

There is nothing in your article that suggests global warming, or the implied statement that human activity is responsible for it.
It merely says that the Russians planted a flag in the North Pole seabad, and the Americans and Danes are also interested in getting at the resources there. It then goes onto talk about permafrost and CO2 emissions. It says nothing about causality.
That being said, even if global warming would happen to be a complete farce, a cleaner environment and less dependence on foreign oil are not bad things.

I have to think that going from .0478% co2 up to a whooping .0496% is hardly enough to blame mankind for these conditions . Global warming is happening and thats for sure .
Its true we have a problem on our hands and maybe we should do all we can to eliminate our contribution to the problem .
Take a walk on a sandy beach at noon and then take a walk after the sun goes down and then first thing in the morning .
The earth stores heat and releases it and so do the oceans .
The real problem may have nothing to do with man at all .
Yet it is time we work on building and energy system that is better then coal and oil .
Miners all over the world are killed for this energy and wars that kill hundreds of thousands are fought over it .
So I say if it takes people believing that man can change his environment by switching to solar energy ,then thats a good thing .
Like religion teaching people to be kind ,loving ,and to care for their fellow man .
Its not that it needs to be real just that people believe in it .

Why don't you make a sacrifice and get off your PC? Its one of the biggest energy hogs in your house next to your car! Do you even have your Prius yet?
Isn't this just more "Do as I say not as I do?" Now its not only Gore, its his underlings! Once I see no more topics defending man-mand global warming theory, I will realize you are right. Waiting, waiting, waiting.............

I think they deny it because it doesn't exist to the extend that the fear mongers would have us think. Period.
