I can think of 3 possibilities off the top of my head:

1. You could try go to work for a company that is bringing communication technology to poor villages around the world.

2. You could get a normal job, that would probably be pretty good paying and donate part of your income to charities you believe in.

3. If you have high confidence in your abilities, and if you get more than 1 job offer, you could try to make it a condition of your employment that you be allowed a certain number of hours per month to do volunteer work for organizations that are addressing these issues. You might even be able to get the company to help sponsor some of these activities.

No matter what you do with your career, though, as long as you continue to care about these issues, and as long as you are willing to act on these cares, you will find ways to add meaning to your life and to make a difference in the world.

Go fo it!

This is a bigger question than just your education. Meaning refers to the question, "what was I meant to do with my life?". Such a question requires a Creator/God. If we don't accept the possibility of God, then we are just the product of mindless natural forces just like rocks for example, and rocks weren't meant to do anything.

What put the idea into your head that those things you mention, "racism,poverty,hunger,environ... threat..global warming" are what you were meant to work on? If it's real, then God put that idea into your head. Otherwise, it's just some feeling you have.

We get good feelings of self esteem from doing things that earn us praise. So is your desire to help people just a desire for those kind of good feelings? If so, then it is all about you and not about others at all.

But if we admit that God might exist, then we ought to seek God for God must have put our need for meaning into our nature in order to get us to seek Him.
