that's getting into somewhere you are not supposed to be it's like a locked door it just keeps the honest people out, hacking started with telephones so the way to avoid it is to turn it off and stay away from those shady sites for hackers if you go to a page and it doesn't load as fast as the others then it's downloading stuff so they can hack you later

Hacking is illegaly getting/acquiring confedential information with out legal consent from the source. To prevent it use a lock, encription, firewall, password and others.

You can't prevent it. You can make it a harder target, but if someone wants to hack you badly enough, there is effectively nothing stopping them. There are exploits to every OS and ways around firewalls.
