Yahoo is privately owned, so we have no right to free speech, freedom of expression, or any other First Amendment rights here. Those rights apply only to public places and are further curtailed by other laws. (You can't yell "Fire!" in a crowded theatre, for instance.)

Yahoo is free to delete our input entirely on whimsy if that's what they choose to do. No free speech online.

It depends on how you asked the question in the first place. Maybe people found it overly offensive or felt that you were generalizing about all cops being bad. I can't tell you because I have not seen the original question. However, Yahoo! Answers can remove whatever question it wants or deem whatever answer it wants to as being offensive because the boards are privately held. Just try to rephrase your question and see if it gets accepted this time around.

In the US we have freedom of speech. But Y! Answers is not a government enterprise. It is private enterprise. You have to realize the difference.

This is a free service, not an outlet for free speech. Yahoo can create whatever rules they want for using this service. They are reasonable.

Nobody is stopping you from talking.

I'll tell you what happened.
Better yet, I'll let you answer this yourself.
Off the top of your head tell us what document guarantees this freedom?
And....where in this document is it specifically mentioned?
You probably don't know and will have to look it up on your computer.
This is what is happening to all our freedoms.

Maybe if you said you didn't like SOME cops it wouldn't get removed...

If there were no cops there would be complete anarchy...
