lots of jobs are boring, like engineering, construction, accounting, etc. I think it becomes more rote because you learn what you need to learn and then you continue to do it unless a problem arises and then you think up other ways to solve it, and then add that knowledge to what you already know.

More or less, yes. I stay there for the benefits and because I know it is something I can still do 20 years from now when I retire, but I've become numb to (or maybe indifferent?) the silly squabbles and the supervisors pretty much standing around with their thumbs up their you-know-whats while the crew is worked to the bone.

I like what I do so I'm not numb with my job. Every day something different happens so I don't find myself doing the same things the same way over and over again.

I am a lunchlady at a high school and love my job there. I am going on 5 yrs of working there. There are alot of great students that come threw my line. They are the reason I still work there. They are very well manner which I was very impressed with! Starting back work Monday summer is over!

Yes definately if I hate it then it just turns into indifference and apathy and I can't wait till the end of contract to find something more suitable.

Not me i dont work
But when i did work i nevered stayed in a job that i was not happy with,
you do need to like your work, its most important i think!!!
