Aluminium Window Frame

There are many advantages of using aluminum for window frames. It's the most abundant metal in the earth's crust, making it an inexpensive building material. It combines slowly with oxygen, forming a thin layer of aluminum oxide, which prevents it from further corrosion or rusting - making it ideal for outdoor use, especially near bodies of water. It is lightweight and workable, thus easier to install. It also has good thermal qualities, which help block heat-loss/gain.

You can do it with small stubby sheet metal screws. Just know that the window will not close all the way with the screws installed. So, that's your dilemma: is it okay for the windows to not close all the way the entire time the screens are installed? One option might be to epoxy the hinges in place on the window frame and unscrew them from the screen itself when you don't want them installed. But, the hinges would be there permanently (at least until you pried them off).

Because it is strong, yet light weight, unlike iron or steel yet has the same noise reducing properties of those. If your buying windows you definitely want aluminum as vinyl allows 7 times the noise and air through as an aluminum one. Not to mention they lose even that small bit of protection over the next three years and will begin to mold and heat and freeze.
