Democrats had no problems hosting a forum for addressing rights for gays and lesbians. Why won't the GOP?

Getting the GOP "base" vote is more important to Republican candidates than trying to appease homosexuals, who won't vote for Republicans anyway, no matter what the GOP does...all a Republican candidate can do is lose votes by attending such an event...It's like a Democrat trying to get votes by attending a National Rifle Association convention...

It wasnt a forum for addressing rights for gays and lesbians. It was nothing more then a fundraiser for the Democrat party. They were pandering to a group they know will give them money and votes. Even though the Democrats have never done much for them. The Democrats have always been better at pandering to people then Republicans. Plus gays have a completely inaccurate view of what conservatism and the Republican party represent and stand for. Hunterhous 10, you couldnt be more incorrect. How ridiculous.

"Democrats had no problems hosting a forum for addressing rights for gays and lesbians..."

...'cept for the fact no one covered it, like they did all the other debates. whassup wit tat? Methinks they're afraid that won't play very well in suburbia, so they keep it quiet.

Do we really have to have a forum for every single fringe group?

why wont dems go on o'rielly factor- they had no problem being strong armed into the daily kos convention- o.k. now start bashing me, IF a gop can. went to a gay right thing to campaign do you honestly think those homosexuals would sit there and listen NO it would be an endless attack, same if dems went to rush limbuagh for an interview, its too bad. maybe if dems went to right convention and the repubs. went to a dem. convention we could learn about each other, but we will have to wait for this race to start for real.

Well I would imagine they would expect it to not be a forum but a bash the GOP event. So they figure why bother.

I could ask the same thing about blacks.......or about the homeless........or about the economically depressed..........or the Jews, or the Protestants.....or the Hindus.........ad infinitum. We ALL have rights, brother......and ALL of us need attention.
