it does happen. although it happens more often with crocodiles then with alligators and caimans. in the wild, crocodiles will actively hunt humans. meaning they will sit near a town and watch the habits of the humans living there, will recognized that someone comes out by the river every morning to get water, and will attack. whereas alligators are not likely to do this. ppl feeding these animals definitly increases the likeliness of attacks. just the same as bear, if they know theres easy food somewhere, they will keep comming back, and like humans can also get aggitated when hungry.

There was a string of attacks on humans in Florida around 2 years ago every week for around 2 months FEMALES would get attack near creeks while jogging the weird part was that it was only females and the bodies were not completely eaten just a limb or 2.

I don't think that alligators eat many humans, although they are dangerous, but crocodiles have eaten many people, especially in Africa, where people are obliged to go to rivers to get water, wash clothing, etc. Crocodiles are dangerous all over the world where they exist.

Yes.

There have been "maneater" saltie crocs in Africa and India esp. I know people get killed by alligators a lot. How often the alligator gets a chance to eat them before other people show up, I'm not sure.

Yes, many times. Usually either of the species will drag the person into an underwater cavern and allow them to rot for a while. Rotten meat appeals to them.

Yep.

They're slow after the first lunge and don't even chase their prey normally, but if they grab you with the surprise lunge they (apparently) have more chomping force than a tyrannasourus rex.. so you're pretty much screwed.
