I take it that you are an atheist with faith in yourself, but I don't understand your question at all.
I am a Christian, and I don't think it requires any courage to have faith in God. Courage is not the applicable concept at all. Some Christians have a lot of courage, others do not. However, I believe that faith helps people to find the courage to deal with severe challenges in life. The same is true, in my opinion, of non-Christians with respect their perception of God.
Being as atheist does not ipso facto mean that you will have faith in yourself. Atheism is simply a belief that there is no God. The dictionary definition of atheism is "Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods." Atheists are no more likely than Christians (or any other religious people) to have faith in themselves.
According to the dictionary, nihilism is about rejection.
"Rejection of all distinctions in moral or religious value and a willingness to repudiate all previous theories of morality or religious belief." In any case, the concept of nihilism is normally used in a political and social context :
"The belief that destruction of existing political or social institutions is necessary for future improvement." In other words, to be a nihilist you have to have faith in a future built from nothing.

I think that Atheism would require the most faith and courage. If you are willing to bet your life on the belief that you have all the answers my hat is off to you.
Nihilism is blind ignorance out of fear. Like sticking your fingers in your ears and saying "la la la la" No Faith or courage required.

Faith in oneself. Without having faith and respect in oneself, you can not truly have faith in anything else.
