Like any new toy, when people find out about blogging, they do it a lot for the first few weeks, and then taper off, and finally check back occasionally before abandoning it completely.
The same thing happens with Yahoo!Answers or any new computer feature. When flickr and photobucket first came on everybody was WOW let's put all our pictures here, now only new people participate.

I think everybody feels special and has something deep inside that he longs to express. Writing is a favorite form of self-expression, since we all learn to do it and many of us think we can do it well -- and because it's so much like talking.
But it's not enough to express oneself; one also wants to be heard. And sadly, it's very rare to find someone who knows how to listen and is willing to do it. That's why online mailing lists and discussion groups are so often disappointing: you'll post something, only to see it ignored; or the feedback you get only proves that what means so much to you doesn't mean that much to others. So, you end up with a lonely feeling again.
Blogging, in my opinion, can be almost an act of desperation. It's like sending signals into outer space, in hopes that some life-form will pick them up someday. Yet, if you're going to keep a diary or journal anyway, and if some of what you write seems fit to be read, why not blog it and see what happens? There's always an outside chance that somebody out there will happen upon it, find it interesting, and give you the kind of feedback you've always been longing for.

Well, I have a blog and I dont really show it to many people.
I think it's just like a diary or a journal where you can be creative and just express everything you feel.
I usually do it and it's a bit like therapy.
It's just like talking to ur best friend about ur problems,
except that ur writting it and sometimes, if people actually care,
they take a look at ur blog and see what's wrong.
Other blogs like on myspace, they have events and interesting stuff about what they're interested in.

For me it is mostly because of my friends as all of them keep blogs and we will shared things that we like (videos, songs, happy or sad events) through our blogs. this way we would know each other better. Also, we would also get to know people that we do not usually interact with through their blogs. We would also be able to identify similar interests between ourself and other people. And most importantly, we can say what we do not dare to express in our real lifes. Well, sometimes it can be quite addictive because I just have the urge to keep my blog active and whenever I have something interesting to tell, the first thing I think of is to write it in my blog (to share with my friends).

There are innumerable number of reasons why you should blog. Listing out all those is virtually impossible. However, here are some reasons why you should - Blog for Fun, blog to add color to your life, blog to take control of your life, blog to earn, blog to yell, blog to express yourself, blog to relieve yourself, blog to talk your heart out, blog to let others comment, blog to let others share, blog to inspire, blog to tell the truth, blog to spread the news, blog to communicate, blog to share your joy, blog to share your thoughts, emotions, opinions, blog to make others laugh, blog to make others cry, blog to awaken, ... ... ... blog for that, blog for this.
If all these are not reasons enough for you to blog ... then blog for no reason at all. Blog just because you want to, you don't need anyones permission to do it.
Blogging is as wide as talking to the whole world and as private as talking to your own self. Blogging is a reflection of the multiple angles of your own self. Don't be left behind. Start Blogging today.

Are many of them worth reading though? Very few. It's good to read about life and work in various parts of the world.
