IF having a more efficient government and a greater quality of living meant being taken over by another country, would you be for it? If not, then what % of efficiency would it take for you to become governed by another country. Or rather, what changes must be made, for you to agree to this? State your country of residence if you like.

This kinda has to do with so called advantages that many European countries have over the US. Like the whole universal health care issue or more paid vacation days. An elderly friend and I watched the Sicko documentary at home and he said something like "Well, wait till Canada or any other country becomes as populated as the US, and that Universal Health Care system will cease to work!"
Is this true?

Has there been any political theorists that have come up with a plan or alternate system that will get the US to be run better? Or is this form of goverment the best "model" and the most efficient democracy will ever become, never evolving into anything better?

USA had been taken over by a certain foreign government, they are the largest PAC, have thousands of lobbyists in usa trying to get Americans to send billions more a year to this welfare state.

this has not made your country more efficient.

HELL NO! I remind folks of one of the most efficient government's in history that for a while did improve it's citizens lives at first. It was run by a decorated war hero. Nazi Germany. It is not the duty of the government to make life better or to make good things happen. I quote Mr. Jefferson in saying the government that does the least does the best. And I hope it is obvious that I live in the USA.

I would not agree to be taken over by any other country, for any reason. Freedom is way more important than efficiency, which is a subjective term. I don't know of any governments that would be considered efficient. All governments take in tax money and spend it. In that aspect, all operate inefficiently, since the citizens get no return on their taxes.

Government and efficiency does NOT equate. Government is run by people, and power and money corrupts.
