I totally agree with you. I love those Doris Day, Rock Hudson movies. I have a collection of all the classic movies from the 40's and 50's. On some Sundays, I stay in my jammies, get a box of tissue and watch them all day.

I LOVE those old movies. I have several CD's of the old standards. Doris Day, Dean Martin, Bing Cosby, Frank Sanatra, oh, the list goes on and on. I particularly like the music from their movies.

I'm not that old... only 45. And I like most types of music. But every once in a while I am in the mood for this older stuff.

I also love the old songs and people such as Doris, Julie Andrews, Pat Boone, Jim Reeves, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra will always be evergreen and their songs golden oldies --- i remember songs from Paint your wagon and South Pacific as well

Yes it is sad. It seems like most things are more blunt and even crude these days. My favorite is Guys and Dolls.
