This poor 4 year old girl was tortured, beaten, and possibley sexually assualted before being murdered by her mother and the boyfriend.
Why does this not make the front page news when this is far more sickening???

Puma
You pathetic excuse for a human being
You assume because i posted the link form the sun that i am a 'chav'?
So can i assume from your name that wear Puma trainers???
If so doesnt that make you a chav??
As you can see from my ridiculious conclusion it doesnt make any sense!!!
So in future keep your little boy thoughts to yourself. Some things are far more important in this world than calling somebody a chav

Leticia's torture and murder was sickening but at least she now has some justice, not enough for my likening. Whereas Maddy's parents have not yet be prosecuted for, at the minimum, neglect.
Leticia's parents are working class whereas Maddy's are middle class.
I do find Leticia's story one of the worst I have ever seen, society that lets this sort of thing happen is sick. Many people would have seen warning signs and should have done something before she died.
We all need to be more vigilant to the plight of children and try to prevent this happening again.

A optimistic, powerful, friendly way can lie to all and numerous. or according to threat the motives have been merely too good and the social provider human beings have been misled and misinformed, as they left the development thinking she replaced into someplace else. whilst social centers do their activity and take a baby far off from a risky subject, the media are very speedy to inform us that a happy relatives has been broken up by little Hitlers. The paintings of social centers would be very perplexing and the expenses of doing what desires to be carried out would be astronomical. I have no solutions and no conclusions, it quite is merely my commentary. I do think of that laying each and every of the blame on social centers is harsh nevertheless.

This particular case has touched me more than anything I have ever read. What a beautiful child 4 yrs old and screaming out for help and nobody even noticed.Social Services should be brought to book on this one and be prosecuted to the full extent of the Law for negligence.(Are you listening Home Secretary)Surely nobody in their right minds would do this to a child, they now have to suffer in jail for many years (if they get that far) imagine life for them now I agree criminals should be locked up but many are good parents and will not allow this dreadful event go unpunished.May God Bless this sweet child Leticia.

" how it just isn't possible for a 'professional' parent to murder their child and invent a complex "
Of course it is. But they picked her up from the creche at about 5, they had to kill their child, get rid of her body and then join their friends in the Tapas bar where they were seem by a number of other people. No one has commented on anything strange about their behaviour.
As for professionals not abusing their children, There is no evidence of abuse, No one is saying Maddie's behaviour was strange or that her body was always covered as in the case of Leticia Wright almost certainly to conceal bruising.
Some of you seem to have lost all objectivity.
They were negliegent for leaving their children unsupervised that doesn't mean they are gulity of physical abuse, of which you have no evidence, or murder.

I agree with you
what is also sad is every question on here is about how social services failed her
were they really the only ones?
EVERYBODY coming into contact with children has a responsibility to report suspected abuse.
This thing with her not being in school/ nursery - did they not think that was odd?
Social workers can only work on what they can see
if they are not allowed into a home (often the case given the way the are perceived and portrayed in the media) How can they act appropriately - they need evidence to act and simply cannot gather this alone.

Because Leticia's parents where not doctors, with friends in high places, the middleclasses who write for these papers also love to knock the lower classes, the McCanns are one of there own

You are so right. And what is so disgusting in this case is that Social Services again, and again and again are letting down these innocent children. Aren't they trained properly, do they hold any qualifications? can't they recognise lies when they hear them, do they not have behavioural skills, are they not observant? Something seriously and quickly has to be done to sort out the people that work for Social Services to make sure something like this cannot happen again. I'm not saying that everyone in Social Services is incompetent, but my God, when you hear stories like this, just one incompetent person is one too many when it causes pain and suffering and eventual death to a poor, innocent child. And what is the mother and boyfriend's sentence? I didn't see how many years they got, but not enough in any event.

You must understand the importance of having a good PR man, they can get people to believe anything about you is true ie: what doting loving parents you are, how it is quite acceptable for a 'Professional' to dine out and leave the children unattended but not the 'lower classes' how it just isn't possible for a 'professional' parent to murder their child and invent a complex fabrication, after all The Papa is on their side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Because the sun is the sort of newspaper that likes to get excited about paedophiles, foreigners, breasts and nothing else.
Most people on Y!A complaining about the McCanns being given special status due to them not being chavs (by which they mean "lower class") buy the very newspapers most guilty of wittering on endlessly about the McCanns to the detriment of all other news.

Oh that beautiful child. It's heartbreaking. Disgusting that it there was only a tiny space contributed to it in todays' paper. The social services are dispicable in the way they let her down. Everyone who is worried about a child who lives near them should report it. It's too late when they're dead. Last year, I heard and saw 2 grandparents in the bedroom across the road from me threatening to punch and swearing at one of their grandsons. I was so upset, I phone social services and they were reluctant to get involved. So I phoned the police. I think they knew it was me. I don't care. I'd do it again.
