When my friend was giving her kids Christmas presents from "Santa" I would right out the tag, so it would be in unfamiliar handwriting.

When I was getting presents from Santa I never was suspicious and never bothered to notice and unfamiliar handwriting. I just ripped the paper open to get at the gift as quickly as possible.

nope, but i do that to my daughter...i even go as far as having a tree up from Dec 1 and putting the presents under the tree in the middle of the night on Dec 24 to make it seem like "Santa" came.

When our children were little they knew which presents were from Santa because they were the ones wrapped in Santa paper. All other gifts were wrapped in other Christmas paper and had a gift tag. Santa's were never signed, not even with the child's name on them. They were just placed near the other gifts, just a little away from them.

No, no unfamiliar writing. But that's a good idea. Just to keep the kids thinking there is a Santa.
By the way...are you from Pioneer High? Just seeing your screen name Titans reminds me of my high school.

My mom and dad were divorced and we lived with mom and when dad would send presents she'd rip his name off and put hers on it or Santa's name on it. Then she'd say look, your dad never sent you anything for Christmas this year. I hated Santa.

Our family would wrap gifts for each other, but Santa never wrapped gifts. Not even a nametag.
