Its not totally unknown - extremely rare though. I seem th recall reading about a middleaged woman who gave birth and thought her periods were up and down because of menopause!

They are supposed to stop, but in some cases they continue as usual. My grandmother in law lost her 2nd baby at 5mths and she didn't even know she was pregnant because of her period. (2 other preg's her period stopped)
AND I have a girl in my college class that is 36wks and she didn't find out till she was 28wks and only because I got 'foot-in-mouth' and asked her is she was pregnant (because she had a huge belly that was obviously a preggo one.)
she said no but it was strange that 6 people had asked her that lately. After lunch I came in to find her crying, saying maybe she was but she has still be getting her period. Next day she went and got a HPT and sure enough, pregnant! Still getting her period now and due on the 10th september with a healthy baby boy she is going to name Noah.
I also know two other people from my home town that have had periods while pregnant, but only for the 1st half of pregnancy and then it stopped.

My friend didnt know she was pregnant untill she was 8 months. She was quite a big girl, on the pill, and didn't notice a huge amount of weight gain. Started getting cramps to which she was told by a DR were her practise contractions!
She now has a totally normal 3 year old boy :)

Some women continue to have their menstrual cycle well into pregnancy, and many women don't realize it has stopped if they have irregular cycles in the first place.
Yes, this CAN happen. Yes, you CAN be pregnant and still have your period. They normally stop, but not always.
Hope this helps you out

It happens it's rare but it happens. Speacially in older people, my sister's neighbor didn't even know she was pregnant but she was also a big lady and older, she thought she was going though menopause. And when the contractions started she just thought she was consipated.Till a head started coming out. I've had two kids and I don't know how people don't know they're pregnant. But it happens.

its very unlikely that a woman can go an entire pregnancy without feeling any signs of being pregnant, but you can have a pregnancy with periods, as I have done so with 2 of my pregnancies.
the girls that fall pregnant and carry to term without knowing must be very uneducated, and I myself find it strange that they never feel the baby kicking.
but it can happen.

It is possible for some women to have bleeding all the way through a pregnancy. It is not common and is not a period as such. Go to this site for morte information
