I don't think i could say i miss them, because i was born too late to experience them, but i wish they were still around.
All i listen to is music from the 70's, 80's and early 90's, yet i was born in 1990 =/
I'm only 16 and I'm very bitter about the fact that i wasn't born early enough to experience Guns N' Roses when they were at their prime.
I also just can't get into the new bands that are around. I've yet to find one that captures me the way the bands from past eras have.
Bring back the classic Guns N' Roses line up!!

Yes and no. I miss being able to turn on the radio in the car and hear Led Zeppelin, The Who, ELO, Aerosmith, etc.. playing at any given time. I also miss the days when these bands toured (in their prime of course).
But I also say no, because thanks to satelite radio, online radio, the wonders of the internet, and the fact that many bands have reunited and are touring again (or still touring) there's not much to miss.
I know that the airwaves tend to be saturated with newer music that many older people don't like, but it's easy to tune out that crap and listen to something else.
I also say no because there are actually a lot of newer bands that are very good, you just have to search for them. It's worth the little bit of work to do.
A perfect example of older bands that are still touring and still putting on amazing shows are Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, and Blue Oyster Cult.

I do.
I do not miss bands like Deep Purple, Guns and Roses, Dire Straits, or Aerosmith though. I miss bands like early King Crimson, Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come, Egg, Faust, Gentle Giant, The Nice, and Van Der Graaf Generator.

i like the newer stuff a bit better, i guess b/c when i was younger i was more into r&b and rap and i merged into rock around 2000, so i am more familiar with the songs and bands from sround that era up unill now. never really listened to the older stuff til about a year or so ago like metallica and kiss or pink floyd and i just simply have grown to like bands from the '90's and beyond a bit more than those of the '80's.

I do, well, technically I don't 'miss' them as I wasn't around during their prime. But after going through various phases including modern heavy metal, I've now found myself listening to all those bands and more. Its hard to find a decent band today that is unique, doesn't sound like somebody else and doesn't sound as though they just want their 15 Minutes of fame.

That's a very subjective opinion. It's way easy to get stuck in the time warp and not even consider any of the newer artists. However, the truth is more like you ought to join the rest of the party here in the 21st century. And no that doesn't mean I am referring to the lame emo bands either. My motto, keep moving forward.

I miss YES!
I have been getting into their music recently and realized how much I missed out on over the years. I was a big Beatles fan before that and that kinda isolated my tastes a little back then. If I could only turn back the clock I would totally see a YES concert!

u probably only like those bands because they were music that u grew up listening to or they were the songs of your generation. As for me i hate classic rock/rock n' roll/hair bands. I only listen to the new stuff metal and 90s Hard Rock like korn, disturbed, bullet for my valentine, slipknot, all that remains, and System.
