MaxxP, do you think "public outrage" will be much of a factor once the tanks start rolling?

I'm sure there's been a fair amount of "public outrage" in countries like China, Myanmar, North Korea, etc. It seems that N. Korea has a tad over 200,000 political prisoners who took part in some sort of "public outrage".

Shucks, there's a bit of "public outrage" going on in Iraq, right this instant. Who cares?

Presidents do have the power to declare a state of emergency and postpone an election but SURPRISE it has never happened and never will.

The public would be outraged and the Presidents party would never be reelected. Bush cannot constitutionally run for another term.

This is just fear-mongering by the left. I do not lose sleep over it.

Maybe if he declares himself "EMPEROR" and appoints Dick Cheney as his 2nd in command... I guess congress would have to approve this... maybe one of those sneaky Republicans can sneak this into the new energy bill !!!
