Okay, so, I'm a 17 year old female...& I don't know what's wrong with me...But, I definitely feel that it is not normal. Maybe I'm sick or something, but this has been going on for a while. First, [in MAY-ishh !!] I was just SO tired every single day. I would literally sleep for 15-20 hours a day. I was also very very hungry constantly. I would wake up from my sleep like, starving. But, I just fell back asleep because I was so tired. [I also passed out a few times when I was going out in public]. That lasted up until the very end of July. Now, I am rarely hungry...And I can't get any decent rest ! I literally am waking up every hour, on the hour...if that. Maybe even every 30 minutes sometimes. I also noticed some weight loss...But, I don't know if that's a huge deal. It's fluctuating between 5-10 pound loss. Without me even trying. What is wrong with me ?! Help !

Um, those were my first symptoms of pregnancy...

PS: Yes, it's possible. I didn't think that was possible either till my midwife mother-in-law just came out and said, "you're pregnant, that's all there is to it". And what do you know, five blue sticks later...

The first part seemed like you where pregnant !!! Classic signs all round there. Could this have been possible. Did you have a really bad period with tummy pains that could have been a miscarriage ??? That would result in the weight loss and unrest. Please visit your doctor if this is likely, you will need help for this if it is so. Otherwise you just may need a tonic, be iron deficient, or very very stressed. Seek assistance asap. Good luck x

It sounds like you need to be physically examined by a doctor and have some blood tests. Your symptoms could be alot of things, and you will have to have a diagnostic work up. Even a medical doctor could not diagnose what is going on without more information.

You really need to get to the botttom of what is going on, so that whatever it is can be effectively treated/managed. Your health is too important to get random info on Yahoo. Please don't delay. I am especially concerned about your passing out. You could fall and hurt yourself if it happens again.

By the way, since you are not legally an adult, you cannot be treated without the permission of a parent/legal guardian.

Chronic fatigue can be a problem but there are many diseases or health problems that ONLY YOUR DOCTOR can help you with. You really need to FIND a doctor who will take the time to diagnose and treat you properly. Be careful, your age plays a role against you because many professionals think they can blame your health problems on your age. Ask more questions on this site if your doctor does not help. We can give you ideas on how to find medical professionals who may listen and help you. Please, you probably have something that can be taken care of with physical therapy and with Christian counseling. If you do not believe in Christan counseling, you may not get better. I have seen other young people with your problem who did the above suggestions and they were able to conquer.

are your periods regular (at 17 they aren't always anyway) but do you have some that last excessively long and some that last a day or 2? Are you having severe cramping as well? I would be seen by a doctor - if you have these symptoms I would ask the doc about polycystic ovarian syndrome too.

Schedule a visit with your doctor, explain the symptoms to him/her as you have explained them here. There could be many causes to your fatigue, fluctuations in eating, and weight loss, and only your doctor can best determine the etiology.

Hope you feel better soon.

Not eating enough healthy foods, or not being active enough? Happened to me, but mainly because I really did nothing 24/7 at the time since I had nothing to do.

You need to go and see your doctor. It could be any number of things from diabetes to stress to goodness knows what else. I would suggest that you go and get an appointment scheduled as soon as you can so that you can stop worrying.
