Adrian peterson b/c he is already the starting rb for Minnesota and he's sure to get 1200 plus yards barring any injuries.. 2 others i think have a good shot are Dwayne Jarrett for the panthers b/c obviously the d will be doubling steve smith and Calvin Johnson b/c the lions are a pass team only and if he lives up to half the hype then he should produce 9-10 tds 1000+ yards.

On offense i would go with Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions. he is 6'5" runs a 4.3 40 and has hands. think Randy Moss as a rookie with no attitude problem. John Kitna passed for over 4,000 yards last year with 22 touchdowns and those numbers figure to go up as the lions will be behind alot a must play catch up.Also teams will not be able to doulbe team him as roy williams is on the other side.
On defense I like Patrick Willis of San Francisco. He won the Butkis award last year as the top linebacker in the nation. He is battling Derek Smith for a starting inside linebacker spot and has eveyone around 49ers camp predicting great things this year for him as well as being a major reason for the hype surrounding this team for the comming year.

Miraj S- you know less than even james l, don't ever include troy smith in the rookie of the year discussion, he isn't even starting and even if he did, he sucks anyway!
James L- you know nothing about football its CALVIN johnson
My picks would have to be Marshawn Lynch, he has a great combo of speed and power, or Calvin Johnson because of his dominating size, hands, and speed. Also the fact that he can jump incredibly high helps too.

As bad as the Lions are Calvin Johnson will be the rookie of the year. Kitna can and will throw the ball to him alot so look for big numbers from him.

Of all the players in the draft this spring, only one to me was head and shoulders above the rest in college. Calvin Johnson was by far the closest to a sure thing in my opinion. His play last year was impressive. He was making great NFL type plays.
Joe Thomas would have also been in this discussion but offensive linemen don't win R.O.Y. awards. Shame.

Rookie of the 365 days......would be desperate by the play of Colston and Maroney in those ultimate weeks of the conventional season. Colston has had the greater suited stats and exposure, in spite of the shown fact that as a results of Colstons harm and the persistance of Maroney to teach and tell whilst given the possibility....apparently like a race to the end. If Colstons harm sidelines him for one greater 2 video games+.....it incredibly is OVER......start up the engraving for Maroney.....despite if he returns next week...he could % a monster interest because of the fact Maroney refuses to permit up.....my nod is for Maroney ......it particularly is annoying to assert for this NOLA BOY...

i'm going to have to bank on Marshawn Lynch, he is the starting RB for the Bills this year and was the number 12 overall pick in the draft. He has size, explosiveness, power and great hands... what more can you ask for in a first year player who is starting? everyone has their money on the typical players, if it isnt Marshawn my other pick would be Calvin Johnson in the pass happy DET offense.

Adrian Peterson is going to be the offensive rookie of the year, he's being thrust into the position of running back, where they have a lousy quarterback, so he's going to get alot of carries.
I like Ted Ginn Jr.'s chances too.
