Islam, since its very beginings, has been a "religion" of conquering warriors of "jihadists" bent on destroying western culture. The Crusades were a defensive reaction to centuries of Islamic agression and subjugation. Look it up !!

I agree with the fact that building a Mosque at ground zero is an abortion of an idea. If the expression "Pouring salt in your wounds" wasnt invented yet, then it would be now. That is exactly what we are doing and whoever supports this ridiculous idea in my opinion are supporting the Taliban, not only the Taliban, but all terrorist organization. We are pretty much saying "Hey come and commit a terrorist act in America and we will build something in your honor and tell the families of the victims that we dont care about what happened to there loved ones" Yes it is by far the dumbest idea from Obama yet. He is a horrible president. I didnt vote for him and never een considered it. I believe he is a racist and a dictator. As far as Islam being a political movement to dominate the world...In a way yes you are correct. What you dont realize is that all governments now-a-days are political movement's trying to dominate the world. Especially ours.

Islam was the first religion preached by the very first man -Adam! Subsequently Noah,Abraham, Ishmael, Issac, Jacob I
( Israel), Joseph,Moses, Aron.Zacharias,Jesus and Mohamed did th same.
In fact. the loving and caring God has raised a prophet in every nation.But the people have gone against the preaching of such prophets after their death. Some deified the prophets and others went back to idol worshipping.
Mohamed was the last of the prophets whopleaded with people to worship the one and only God - Allah.
Allah is the one and only God who existed before anything was created. He created the wonderful universe with no model before Him! If He wanted to make a thing, it was sufficient for Him to say :"BE", it is there! Hence, He does not look to anybody's help in running the administratiun of the world over the millenia.He only has the power to atone the sins of human beings.He is ewtrnal and Living and never died
till date!
He is closer to the final creation, closer than his jugular vein!
He wants man/ woman to ask Him and He will answer thier prayers,Therefore, He does not like any one to intercede.
If He had willed He could have made all humanity one community.He has let people assume different faiths. He does not want them to fight with ne another but vie with one another in doing good. all have to return to HIm one day, then He will explain the real differences.
So the oldest and renewed religion Islam has annulled all other religions and earlier scriptures.
Lastly, while all the other prophets were sent to a particular people. for a particular period of time and for a particular purpose, Mohamed was sent as "The Mercy for all creations"and His Messenger till the last day.
He has 'perfected the oldest religion'! And made the Quran the authentic word of God which has annulled allprevious scriptures.
Hence, it only will be the valid religion till the last day.
Allah is capable of achieving HIs purpose all by Himself and hence He has NOT authorised any jihadi to spread His religion. Islam is poles apart from terrorism.
So wrong not Islam because of the wrongdoings of few who claim to be Muslims but follow not the dictat of the Quran/

I have read the Qur'an and it is very hard to follow in English. The fun thing to try and wade through are the hadiths, the sayings of Muhammad. There is more hatred in there than the Qur'an. We hear how Muhammad had people beheaded who poked fun at him. I believe Muhammad was sincere when he started but followed the path of many leaders and became intoxicated with his own power. Muhammad said the whole world would be under Muslim rule before a certain year(which one, I forget), but it has already passed, so he fails the prophet exam.
