9/11 was the worst thing in my lifetime...Now, years later,where were you when you heard the news? i was getting my baby ready for a check up with her pediatrician...then i seen it on tv....

I was alone in my car on the highway going to work. I couldn't wait to get to work that day to be with people I knew. That night was the first night my husband and I cuddled on the couch after dinner and we do it every night since when we are together.

My dear friend had returned from New York that morning and was watching the news when the 1st plane hit. She called me to tell me to turn on the news and while we were talking about the terrible accident, and watching the news, the second plane hit. I was home in my living room and felt my world twist and turn to fear and worry for my kids at school in that instant.
I was also watching the news when the Challenger blew up in space- another terrible and tragic event to witness.

getting ready for school. for some reason at the time i didnt relize the seriousness of the news.

I was at work. Everyone stopped what they were doing watched t.v. together for an hour and left.
