When spraying paint, why is it that less paint is wasted if the object is charged??

Because the paint as it is sprayed becomes charged as it moves through the air. If the object to be painted has an opposite charge the paint will be attracted to it rather than dispersing.

this is because both paint and the object is charges with different charges.therefore,a charged molecule of paint will only stick to the 1 charged side of the object.
