hook and loop is Velcro and is a plastic in two parts - a soft fuzzy loop part and a more rigid set of loops that have been cut off to one side so they make hooks. Both are made in a manner similar to carpet loops.
Non-stick pans are usually teflon plastic which is applied as a liquid to a chemically cleaned surface so it links up and is the cured to lock the connection. Others are possible.

A hook and loop fastener is also known as Velcro. It comes with two sides, one fuzzy, and the other with plastic "hooks" that attach to the fuzzy stuff. They usually have glue on the opposite sides to attach things together temporarily.
Non stick pots are pots coated with teflon, a product invented by 3M or Dupont, I can remember.
