Well number one sign that he is certainly jerking you along is the fact that he stands you up. Why would you like someone who would do that. He probably makes up some lame excuse and you talk it over on the phone or on the computer, and it starts all over agian. Move on, you can do so much better. It's not worth your time or your emotion.

story time:
I was in a similar situation. Just head over heels for this guy, becuase we had such a solid FRIENDSHIP. We moved it forward, and eventually we were going out by ourselves and on valentines day.... and then things woudl cool off becuase he'd blow me off or not tell me something. I sat down with him one day and said "yeah, i like you, but i hate this." and i was done with him from that point on. Funny thing is this: i started dating a childhood friend and found the love of my life fairly soon after this guy. Lucky for me, i get to spend the rest of my life with him. Ironically, blow-off man has resurfaced and wants to be friends again. Sigh.
moral of the story: you deserve someone who loves you enough to appreciate your time is worth something, and if he can't then someone out there can... and is probably dying to do it!
