Music is extremely important to me.
I think music is absolutely beautiful. It's nothing physical that you can touch or see all you can do is hear it. you can't grab it, not music itself....everything else related to music sure but not music itself. Music can express anything to anyone, anywhere, in any language, if you play a sad, romantic song to someone whether it's a filthy rich man or someone in a developing country it's still a sad, romantic song. There's some much to it and I could go on forever =) but I think it's very important that everybody experiences music in their lives

It depends on the type of music- whether it is uplifting to my spirit. Some music is too depressing to listen to. I usually listen to instrumental music. The instruments and harmonies have a very pure influence almost other worldly. Music has been described as mankinds highest achievement and after listening to a Vivaldi concerto or a Bach cantata I am inclined to believe it.

It is very important for me. I turn to music when I feel bad and need uplifting - I listen to Christian music. When I am feeling good, I listen to some upbeat oldies songs. When I am angry or depressed, rock music is always good. I like pop music whenever I am feeling sassy and laid back. Music has the power to influence our moods - make them better or worse. Songs can plant images and thoughts in our minds - for better or worse. Music is definitely a large part of my life - probably for many people around the world.

i can definately understand why music is very important to people from reading other answers above me. however, it doesn't play a big role in my life. dont get me wrong, i listen to music, lots of different types. but not very often, and it doesnt change my mood. possibly intensifies them but not significantly. i dont understand how people can say they couldnt live without music.
i dont know if thats a bad thing, just the way i am!
