I would try soaking your clothes in the washing machine for a couple hours and then resuming the washing cycle. Then use some fabric softener sheets in the dryer.

I use baking soda in all my wash loads... I use about 1 C. per load and I buy it by the 12 lbs bags at the wholesale club for about $4.. I use it all around the house so it's a good value and it really works... It also helps your regular detergent work much better and it helps get out grease.. Good luck...

Wow, that's ruff. I would put a cup of Arm&Hammer in with your laundry detergent. I buy the big box (in the baking isle) and use it with every load cause I'm to cheap to buy the expensive brand of detergent...works like a champ!
You could try 1/2 a cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle as well. Sounds weird but works.

My suggestion is after the wash, then put fresh rain scent, that you can buy from any grocery store, then sun dry the clothes, the reason is, direct sunlight to clothes will destroy the chemical which causes body order. Will you try it?

Alot of good answers here..but let me tell you why this is doing this..either your filling your washer to full and they are not washing properly, or the agitator on the washer is not turning back and forth properly(which mine did this is how i know)...If it doesnt agitate properly it doesnt get all the dirt out...run the washer and lift the lid..see if the agitator is turning back and forth full cycles

Vinegar - white - about a cup in the laundry will do wonders as well as make your whites really white. Wont hurt the colors at all.
