Perfectly normal. Stress, travel, change in routine, exercise, even sleep patterns can sometimes change it. It can also just change over time as you get older. Some girls can even miss a month--but please check with your doctor if you do, just to make sure nothing is wrong.

That first sentence is a little confusing, has your period been irregular for 4 years or have you been having it for 4 years? If this is the first time it has been irregular dont worry. A lot of things can mess up you cycle (stress, weight gain/loss, etc). If this is a persistent problem. You should go to a doctor, you may have polycystic ovarian syndrome. One of the key symptoms is a history of irregular periods. Good luck, and I hope this helps :D

Stress, diet, exercise can cause a period to be delayed by a week but because of the periods being irregular for so long I would recommend having this checked out by your doctor to see what they think is going on.

Hmm. Its probably normal, sometimes they are irregular, but it is annoying. It can be changed by stress levels or changes in eating / exercise.
I would suggest having a look at going on the pill. I did for a similar reason, and now i Know what day I will get my period exactly, almost down to what hour (because you HAVE to take the pill at the same time EVERY day e.g. 8am)

I think you are perfectly fine. Sometimes it's because of pills, over exercising, maybe you're too skinny, stressed, etc. I should say you're okay!
I once moved to Taiwan and I was suppose to get my period the next day, but it delayed until 2 weeks later. It's ok. :D
