There are some days on which I feel absolutely tired, exhausted, breathless, have a rapid heart beat, am nervous and anxious. But I have observed that on days like these, I feel better when I drink grapefruit juice. Why?

The glucose in the form of lactose boosts up the blood circulation and gives you a feeling of energy. Then the antioxidant properties smoothens up your spleen and lever. This gives you a pleasant feeling.

Well, Grapefruit juice has vit. C, antioxidants, and some people says it increases metabolic rates (check old diets, it's on almost every one!). It also has some natural sugars, like orange juice, in it. It's possible that you have low blood sugar at times and the grapefruit juice gives you a pick me up. Maybe you better get that checked.

Grape fruit juice has very high anti oxidant. when you drink this juice it brings out the toxins from your body. Just observe. You may not feel better immediately after deinking the juice. You may feel more better after passing the urine. You will feel better similarly with Indian Mulberry fruit juice which has got higher anti oxidants. The ORAC value is always high on citrus fruits. In grape, the black grape with seeds is still better.

First off, grapefruit is high in citric acid, and juice is by nature high in sugar. Fruit juice in general is high in antioxidants, which can help to clean out your body's systems.

I drink fruit juice instead of pop to keep myself awake, because it's been proven to be more effective than caffeine at stimulating the body to action (not to mention, it's better for you than pop/soda).
