Amongst friends such things do happen but do not and cannot last for long because both start becoming restless without each other and a feeling of vacuum comes in.
True friends ,even when not at talking terms, maintain a silent mode of communication and their body language itself make the thoughts clear to eachother. In any case this is a temporary thing and does not last beyond a day or so.

Yes, with a really really good friend we didn't speak for three days and we were miserable! We'd see each other at school and we both knew we wanted to apologize but we were still mad and everyone could tell that we missed the other one until finally we cracked and ran across the hall to give each other a hug!
I had another one with girls who were like sisters to me where we didn't speak for like, three months. And then another fight with someone who really wasn't that great of a friend to begin with and we never talk...that's been a year at least now.

Yes with best friend/cousin. Story is too long, but it involved her being separated from husband and moving in with me and my sister. Us clubbing too much, meeting wrong people; plus I had boyfriend. When truth all came out to her husband and my boyfriend for some reason we turned on each other. Didn't talk for 5 years. She got divorced, I married boyfriend. We talk now when we see each other, and I go by and see her now and then- but its something I will always regret. Don't even remember why we turned on each other. That's worse part. No loosing bond we had was worse part. Like I said we talk now but it's not same.

Yes I had not talked to my friend for almost a year as he thought of himself more superiors of others due to the fact that he was one of the most brilliant student in our batch, he began to neglect me because he thought he was too good to be a friend of mine. Of course I've had fights with other friends and did not talk to each other which spanned only 2 to 3 mins. But this hurt me a lot as he was one of my best friends.

I remember my bitter fight that is on til now, I had two friends from different walks of life ( boy and a girl), one day I made a terriblemistake of introducing them to each other, initially they took me everytime by their side as i was the introducer but their friendship turned out to be a loss for me after some time as they started meeting and ignoring me this girl was kinda beautiful and the boy was rich, I knew that the girls intention was more on the boys wealth then him and i sensed this, I tried to tell the boy about it but since love is blind he cut off his friendship with me coz the girl told him to, I felt bad as I never ever had bad intentions for them and was always there for both of them through thick and thin. I realized that it was fruitless for me to be in a friendship where the ones whom I considered my friends turned their backs to me.... I walked out and took on with my life, the girl and boy eloped (different caste marriage was not acceptable) and got married within few months the girl took a divorce and demanded alimony (half of the boys wealth), I knew this was bound to happen... they both took divorce the girl with her shrewd means did what she wanted to but the boy ( we were the best of friends) lost the girl and my friendship too, this all happened in 1998 and though my friend and me stay opposite to each other have hardly smiled at each other (may be the bitter memories don't want me to) till date ( 9 years) I haven't spoken to him... this is how long it has been.

I have very high standards for friends, so when they piss me off I let them know about it. If they don't care for my feelings they weren't true friends anyway. I've had a lot of people come and go in my life that I thought were friends, but turned out not to be. I've never heard from them again.

I did, we got in a big battle-royal because she was dating one of my ex-boyfriends. I didn't care at all, (he wasn't that great of a boyfriend) but she was overly-paranoid that I was trying to steal him from her! I told her that was a ridiculous claim (as I am seeing someone whom I love dearly) but she hounded and hounded till finally I told her to shut up and we duked it out and now we don't speak. But she was a fair-weather friend anyway and I know I am much better off without her negative influence on my life. So far we have not spoken in two weeks and I'm perfectly fine.
