A "first kiss" is one intended on showing another person, "I like you a lot more than you think."

A peck on the cheek is an act of friendship.

I think it is easier for most people to just kiss the other person than to say, "I like you a lot more than you think."

French kissing has nothing to do with it. I find a very romantic NON-french kiss far more hot than a robotic "just want sex" french kiss. There is a HUGE difference and you won't know it until you are there.

A Peck Is A First Peck Kiss......
A French Is A First French Kiss......
And It's The One That Truly Counts......

At 45, married 26 years, with 4 kids between the ages of 19 and 25, let me speak from some experience.

I think that a 'first kiss' has nothing to do with 'to tongue or not to tongue... that is the question,' instead, it has to do with a spark, a level of intimacy where you know that this person is special in that special way.

A peck on the cheek is not a 'first kiss,' because it does not really fulfill the above. It is usually just a friendly thing.

And let me tell you, many people don't want someone's tongue all in their mouth and down their throat. That's NOT the definition of a good kiss. A good kiss is like excellent chocolate - something you just want to savor, and enjoy, and cherish, and go on forever. Its a true love thing... And I should know! We are still in love and more than ever 26 years later!!!

I say a first kiss is a first kiss, two lips touching, whether that be a gentle, soft kiss or a long lingering kiss, its a kiss.
