Personally, I like 2D style. I like some 3D fighters, but for some reason, I like the moves and quick pace and intensity used in Capcom fighting games and SNK fighting games. Of course, there are some 3D fighters that I do like: Dead or Alive and Tekken, as well as Virtua Fighter. I don't think this should be in the same category, but it is in 3D and a fighting game (A different kind though), but Def Jam Fight For NY is a really good fighting game. I just hope the makers of that game do another game with that engine. Give me your input.

Has any of you guys ever played fighting games like Thrill Kill or Wu-Tang Shaolin Style? It maybe in the same style as Tekken in terms of being in 3D and control scheme, but you don't jump in those games.

2d Fighting is the way to play in my opinion.

I've just always preferred the simple way of up down left and right, rather than rotating across the stage.

PLUS, my fighting game of choice wouldn't work if it were 3d. You'd be surprised how deep the game of Smash Brothers gets when you're playing against the best in the game. In my opinion it's by far the most technical of the fighting game genre, not to mention the necessity to be able to learn and react to a new opponents fighting style.

well my fav fighting game ever was virtua fighter for sega dreamcast but i like the older mortal combats and street fighters but 3d in my opinion is better when they add free story fighting like they did with dynasty warriors but as far as 3d fighting games that have a stand still level that rotates they are just plan stupid.

Being an old-school gamer, I personally prefer 2-D fighters. I used to LOVE Street Fighter, I was unbeatable as Chun-Li.

with the aid of fact MK became right into a bad interest, and purely became a worse interest with the aid of fact the sequence went on. there became into an extremely super fan base for MK1 and MK2 or maybe however the gamers stiff combating strikes and stupid backround noises and imaging ruined the interest, the ask your self fee of blood and gore in a console interest created extensive call for, the franchise began to get stale after the launch of MK3 with the aid of fact the others reported have been fairly unique.
