It cannot be the first. If it were superior intelligence, the questioner would be able to answer the question. Seeking superiority is often seen as insecurity and inferiority in the seeker.

As to religion, I equate this to Santa and the Tooth Fairy.

Addicted thinkers will find any reason to continue to think. It's also a great way to avoid interacting with others.

I think we are naturally curious and want answers to every damn thing. I know I do. I ask so many questions I annoy people. I need to know the reasons behind everything. Think about it. The WHY in everything is the biggest question. Religion, Why are we here??? Why does God let us suffer? Serial Killers?? Why do they do it, what happened. We want the answers to the unknown. That is because the unknows is far scarier than what we know isn't it?

Ego is part of the path.

Truth is your original face.

I would have to say a child's curiosity. Ever since people are young there is a sense of awe and wonder about life's mysteries and in trying to find/think of the answers.

I have lots of info that I think you will find quite helpful and enlightening:

Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!!

Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-)

I truly have faith in humanity and believe that someday our lives and the world in which we live will truly be transformed for the better.

Answers provide a semblance of order. Whether there is anything beyond what we see or not is irrelevant when we have a solution to the mundane problems and quandaries of our pampered lives.
