Windows Lost Password tips.

Lost User Passwords. (Windows XP)

If you have lost or forgotten a user account password in Win XP, simply log in as the computer administrator, and go to control panel, user accounts. Here you will be able to reset the password for any of the systems user accounts.

Lost Administrator Password. (Windows XP)

Slightly more work needed if you lose or forget the Windows XP administrator password.

First reboot Windows XP in safe mode by re-starting the computer and pressing F8 repeated as the computer starts up. Then (in safe mode) click Start and then click Run. In the open box type "control userpasswords2" without the quotes - I have just used quotes to differentiate what you have to type.

You will now have access to all the user accounts, including the administrators account and will be able to reset the lost password.

Just click the administrators user account, and then click Reset Password.

You will need to add a new password in the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and confirm by clicking OK.

All done, you have recovered the lost administrators password!

I am hoping that you aren't using the administrator account. Windows XP ships without a password on the administrator account. When you start the computer, tap the f8 key then select safe mode from the menu. If you haven't created an administrator password, you can login as administrator then go to your username in the control panel and change your password. Good Luck.

Don't listen to josix00 for certain since most of the sites offering "cracks" contain viruses and trojans. Also, Dandi Y is not necessarily right.

By default, your computer has an admin account when you boot into safe mode, you can't see this account on normal windows. Also, in safe mode, you can toggle the guest account feature and once you get into your guest account you can change your forgotten password by following these steps:

1. Go to command prompt and type in "net user" (without the quotes). *You will now see the list of users that are administrators or limited accounts.
2. Now type in "net user 'name of your account you forgot' *"
An example of this looks like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Guest> net user bob *
3. Once you pressed Enter from the previous step you will now be prompted to enter a password for that account, which will replace your forgotten password.
4. Type it in and log off or reboot your computer and type in the new password. It should work now.

I don't know exactly how this works, but if you can get a Windows 98 Startup disk, you should be able to use it to hack into your own identity. It's a windows xp bug that was never fixed. I wish I could give exact details, but am unable to obtain a 98 startup disk myself.

Download and burn a bootable hack cd to crack your password. It is very easy, and will crack the password within 15 minutes.

I'm not going to give you directions in case you are just trying to hack someones pc. But the information is readily available if you look for yourself.

There really is no way.
You should have put a password hint!
The only thing left to do is reinstall Windows XP (meaning all your stuff is lost) unless you have previously saved your stuff on a backup disk.
