You know what really grinds my gears?!! (As Peter Griffin would say.)

It's when they have the Halloween decorations up in all the drugstores and Christmas (GET THIS!!) CHRISTMAS decorations are up in the Hallmark store. That's a bit rushing it, don'tcha think?!!!

That is why people feel older.

Why can't they do all those things, like selling Halloween decorations in early October and Christmas decorations a week before Thanksgiving. Maybe people will believe the year and life isn't going by so quickly.

I feel like Rip van Winkle. I take a nap and wake up to discover that years have passed. My children now are older than I was when they were born, and have you noticed that xmas seems to happen every other month?

For disturbing body developments there is always plastic surgery; for gray hairs there is dye, although I do not dye mine. There is no help for feeling clueless and out of place, but really I always did, so it's not a problem anymore than it ever was. My main plan of action is to just keep existing until I can't stand it anymore.

Life does seem to move faster the older we get. No lie there. But no, I don't find any surprises when I wake up and I definitely don't feel clueless and out of place. I know who I am, I know what I am and I know what I want. And I'm going for it.

It's an interesting reality that you chose for yourself.

Out of place? Look for evidence of similarities in others.
Turning gray? Stop comparing yourself to younger people and guage yourself across the entire population.
A belly? Stop comparing yourself to others and social ideas of superficial beauty.

Clues? You have more than you'll ever know, as long as you open to knowing about the world.

I may only be 16 but I mean, I've just done my end of high school exams.. and I don't know where I am in life. Feels like only yesterday I was a kid.

Imo, try everything you can.
Make the most of what you've got.

Slowed down. I began to notice the intricate details of life. I didn't want to live with regrets. I wrote things down, took more pictures, remembered to laugh, smiled at strangers and did one thing everyday that scared me.

Especially for those who feel this way.
