i recently moved in with my boyfriend and thank god he is out to sea right now. the problem is i have heavy periods and doubling up on using a pad and a tampon sometimes doesn't stop the flow ... i try to wake up early and catch it if i over flow. but how am i going to deal with this when he comes home.
i don't want him to wake up to what looks like a murder scene

we are trying to concieve so i am not on the pill .... i just got off of it.

It's only some blood on the sheets. Menstruation is NOT the worst thing in the world that he can wake up to.

Dark towels work for me. And you may want to try using long cloth pads at night. They are more comfy than commercial pads...they don't curl and twist and slide around and stick your hair...and they are cheaper and healthier.

I had the same problem!!! I bought "overnight" pads that are longer and thicker and would use 2 side by side, and then decided to get Depends- the incontinence undies used by seniors. I put a pad in there, used a tampon and it stopped the accidents and changed sheets of the murder scene! Not very sexy but I was tired of the leaking and it worked.

You're living together and trying to concieve, but yet, you can't explain to him how your period is?? If he's not mature enough to understand that, then he doesn't need to be fathering a child. Seriously. Men understand more than women give them credit for. This is one of those topics men don't like to talk about, but they need to know. Just tell him.

ask your health care physician about what to do in order to reduce the flow. However, they usually tell u to get on BC. If nothing can be done, use adult diapers at night to prevent overflow.

If your periods are that heavy you need to see a doctor. Seriously, that isn't good.

If you already have and this is just the way it is, you need to let him know how it is when you have your period. If you are going to live together, he needs to get used to it.

you could spend a blanket underneath yourself so if you do over flow it will be on the blanket & not on your bed sheets.

The blanket should be a dark color

just buy darker sheets. even though he is a guy, if he loves you he should comprehend that accidents happen.
