I was at home watching TV

i ditched school i was home sleeping....woke up watched the news....sat down on a chair and cried......and cried.....:(

....but the very next year on that day i met my husband!

I remember that day very well! I was off that day back then, and I'd had the tv on while getting ready for the day following my shower. I tuned into the Today Show and saw the live video playing and how they spoke to different people who saw or was in the know about this tragedy. It was a warm and sunny day that day, and after watching the progam a while I eventually left riding on my bike. Over near the one mall area where I was at I saw a beautiful American Flag waving high in the blue sky. I had taken a good used 35mm Samsung camera with me that time, and I took a few shots of the wonderful flag with the sun filtering through the fabric illuminating the colors of our glorious flag. I was worried about my younger brother who was attending college up that way at the time. By God's grace he was quite alright and from where the school was he saw the cloud of dust and debris as the tower came down. God bless America... my home sweet home! Amen!

I was getting ready for work (San Diego). I had just gotten out of the shower when the newsreaders were talking about the first strike.

I watched for a few minutes, then the second strike happened. It was surreal.

A little bit later, I went to work and nobody was in the office. The front desk girl came in and told me the streets were empty (she had no clue). I tried to tell her what was going on but it wasn't registering in her mind. She had to look it up on the web.

I was 9 yeears old at the time when the towers crumbled.

My family and I were going to go fishing, but we didn't because mom and dad were glued to the TV set, watching it in horror. I was too young to realize what had happened. I simply thought that two buildings "just fell down". Not that it was an actual attack on our Nation. I wish I had paid better attention to that day and not have complained so much about not going fishing. :/ I hate fishing anyway. lol.

I was working in a Doctor's office and I couldn't understand why all this attention was going on the radio. Mind you, I had no television and I was only getting information by patients coming in and telling us what was happening. Also listening to it on the radio didn't do it justice until I actually seen events taking place on the television. I called my mother and was so scared. My father was in Chicago at the time and I called my mother to tell him to get the __ out of Chicago because the rumors then were. They were targeting all of the big cities next. I went to the gas pump also on my lunch hour because of rumors saying gas prices were going to rise to $10 a gallon that day.THE MOST HORRIFIC DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!

I was at work early (in CA it was 6AM) and my sales reps started calling to check in, to tell us that they were OK. Which was unusual.

One of them told me what was happening. I thought it was a very tasteless joke. Someone brought in a portable TV and we tuned it in just as the second plane hit.

Then I remembered that my brother was in New York and was he going to visit the WTC today? I couldn't remember.
And then I realized that Lisa (my spouse) was going to have a heck of a time getting home from Baton Rouge if they stopped all air traffic.

I was at work and had just fielded a phone call from one of our board members who told me to turn on the radio.
I worked in a school.
We proceeded to follow the drama as it unfolded, even taking televisions into our grade 11, 12 history classes so they could watch as well.
One of our employees was stranded in the states for a few days.

I went home and hugged my family

I was visiting with my brother who is in the air force I was flipping through channels and made the comment about what kind of garbage is this on so early in the morning? He still gives me a hard time about that statement being it was the worst day in America. He didnt have to go to Iraq, but my brother who is in the Army has served 18 months.

I will never forget that day i was in middle school i was in 4th period at gym we were out side playing kick ball and walking around the track. and all of a sudden they rushed us in the gym and told us what happened that was one the scariest things i have ever heard parents left and right came and got there kids the teachers were leaving early to go and get there kids people were all over the place that was a crazy day.

I was working at a college bookstore distributer warehouse on that day until they sent us home around 11am, then watched the developing news on TV all day and most of the night.
