I'm not sure what you are asking, but usually a diploma is any degree that you earn, whether it be high school diploma or bachelors degree...it's simply what they call the piece of paper you receive.
In college you can earn a certificate, an Associates degree or a Bachelor degree. Then you can continue on to receive a Masters and Doctorate.

You get a High School diploma or High School equivalence (GED) first.

You can get four levels of degree at a University (4 year or more school) - an Associate (of Science, of Arts, etc.) Degree, a Bachelor's (of Science, of Arts, etc.) Degree, a Master's Degree (usually related to a particular field of study) and a Doctoral Degree (also related to a particular field of study). Masters' and Doctoral are known as "post-graduate" studies.

Most two-year, or Junior Colleges give only an Associate's Degree; if you want to progress further, you would have to transfer to a four-year school. Be sure that the courses you take in your Junior College can be applied at the four-year school, or you will have to repeat some courses.
