There was a nation wide casting call in the UK and he auditioned with hundreds, possible thousands of others and he got the role. That's how anyone gets into the business. Maybe not a nationwide casting call but you have to make the rounds. It's about looking good, being confident, going to every audition you can, shaking every hand that reaches out to you and not crying about it despite the fact you're a child. Its a hard business, especially so for a child. You might think that they take it easy on them because they're kids but they don't. Oftentimes they're harder on them because they are kids and perhaps don't know better. It also helps to have a mom or dad (better yet, both) who are behind you. It's even better if this is what they always wanted to do and have a tendency to want to live through you. Sad to say but its often the children of people like this who get ahead in the biz but only ahead for awhile until it all catches up with. Good luck and be careful. Get an agent who answers only to you, an accountant/business manager who does the same and so on and so on for a lawyer and anyone else who works for you. Give you parents a SMALL allowance for supporting you all and driving you around but DO NOT employ them. That way, they can still be the parents who love you and want to take care of you not run your life and make money off of you. Most parents have no intention of doing the things they end up doing it sort of happens. Unless they have connections in the business and the education/career experience to do the job they have no business working for you. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

I was actually thinking about the same thing. I recently just re-read the entire series and I wondered what it would be like if it were made into a cartoon. I randomly looked at some pictures of Harry Potter online, and some were cartoon fan drawings. Then I thought how I would love it if Harry Potter was a cartoon. So to conclude all this babbling I would definitely be really enthusiastic to watch a Harry Potter cartoon, or read a comic. The thought makes me really excited, and I wish it could happen.

I think he was actually around 13 when he was cast in harry potter... since he is 18 now. But either way, I'm sure he auditioned like everyone else would have to.

First they have to want to do that. Second contact a reputable actors agency, they will tell you what you need to do to get started in the business.
As for Daniel Radcliffe...Harry Potter wasn't his first acting job.
