My grandmother. I'm surprised I made it through the ceremony. I know people kept watching me because they expected me to go batshit crazy and jump on her casket. Everyone knows I loved her more than anyone because she was practically my mom, she was my best friend, my roommate, my defender, and my teacher.

This guy I graduated from high school with. The funeral was on April 25, 2007. He was a really cool person and got along with everyone.

My dad... almost five years ago. I don't think anyone LIKES funerals but, like you, they really bother me. I use to be like everybody else and just not really like funerals. After I went to dads, something changed in me. I really don't know if I would be able to go into a funeral home again after that. I just think it would drudge up all of those feelings I'd rather keep buried. Losing someone that significant in your life is a major life altering event. Funerals SUCK!

A close family friend. I've been to 6 funerals this year, and that's even missing a few.

My brother's in 1992. He was killed by a drunk driver. At the funeral I felt like I was there, but wasn't there...almost out of body feeling. It didn't seem real. But sadly, it was.

A friend of mines 18 year old sons funeral, he hung himself. Considering he was my best friends son I had been in his life since day one, he was like my own son.

My husbands grandma. My grandparents were all gone by the time I was 16, we got together just before my 18th birthday and have been together since (I'm 32 now), so his grandparents just kinda took over for mine when we met. It was like loosing my own grandma again.
