I sent Yahoo this mail about this very same thing a few hours ago:

This is concerning Yahoo! Answers - it has yet to happen to myself, but has happened to people I have met there and become friends with.

It concerns, being given warnings or indeed worst of all, 'evicted'. The way you have the anonymous facility to 'report abuse' is being used by some for no other reason than pure spite. There appears to be no come back from the accused, and I am literally dreading the day that someone decides to pick on me for no other reason than that they are bored.

The answers pages are filled with people complaining about what they have seen posted by others (Skinhead Charlie ring any bells? he was left alone to do his damage for days on end), and yet they too have succumbed to this, by doing absolutely nothing wrong - I've even seen the questions that were supposedly terrible enough to be thrown off.

What are you going to do about this? When are you going to come down on the people that abuse this system, and look after those that make Yahoo! Answers what it is today? Quite simply put, it is nothing short of disgusting.

Will I hear anything back. Will I hell......

I know. My "Answers Hall of Fame" question was removed. What the hell, Yahoo? I think the Yaholes want "fun" to be a thing of the past. Which makes me worry. P&S is a fun, innocent place. Is the entire section on the endangered species list? Maybe I'm just paranoid. However, if P&S does go, I think the established plan is to all meet up in R&S.

By the way, at the time it was deleted, Buk was in the lead.

I have been having that problem myself.I have gotten more violations in one week, than the whole time my accounts been open.My clean questions have been receiving violations all week long. The questions that I ask that push the envelope, stay up.I have a couple of fans that I have gained about a week ago, that I did not add to my contacts. That may be where my problem is.I may have to make my setting private or wait to get suspended and start all over again.I guess whoever it is, prefers the naughty over the nice.Just keep on keeping on,Roz.

I feel your pain. I have had several unfair violations as well and they just send me the standard "we are looking into it" e-mail when I rebuke it. None of them have ever been resolved. My violations don't ever have a real reason. As you well know, I never use rude language (except for the occasional WTF). But; come on, others are advertising private parts and some of them seem to take forever to come off of the list.

WTF Y!A ??

ps Also, what is up with the voting? At Level 4 you should be able to vote 80 times per day, yet I never get over 25 before getting the "You have reached your limit" message.

edit; I just got another one for asking about Pappa and Jack***.

Rating games are not permitted on Yahoo! Answers under the chatting guidelines. Furthermore, while the use of pictures and photos has as of yet to be fully discussed within the community, in the interest of privacy protection for the users who post these questions, such content can be correctly reported. We seem to have grown a few morons who to get their kicks reporting people. Politics is getting famous for it's little "click" that will report anyone that disagrees with them. I'm now on my third avatar and fully expect this one to be shot down soon. Don't worry, there's always bran muffins (grin) I can tell you from my own experience, writing YA and complaining about this does no good, you won't even get an answer.

I had that happen twice to me. I posted a question, receive some violation, then someone else posts the same question no problems. I queried why I got the violation and all I received was "Thank you using Y answers, we will look into the problem."
