need help with wi-fi and DSL?

Question

i want to get high speed internet. Does DSL cost much? Can i get a router to use a laptop or 360? Does wi-fi cost extra?

Please answer in simple language.

The price of DSL varies depending on your location. If you live in a large city like myself, you can get extremely fast DSL for less than $20/month -- if you live in a smaller city like my parents, you get a shi!t connection for $50/month. Basically you want to live where cable, dsl, fiber, etc internet is offered as it drives the cost to you down.


Hooking up a wireless signal is simple -- you just buy (or rent) a router or DSL modem with wireless capability. You can buy them just about anywhere for under $60. There is no addtional fee after you buy or rent the equipment.

DSL is inexpensive. Wi-fi would only cost you extra because of the cost of the equipment, you should not be charged additional charges each month.

Broadband refers to the two cable and DSL. wireless refers to a instantaneous broadband connection. in my opinion, i think of cable is the quickest. I even have used DSL till now and the obtain time for cable is lots speedier. The college the place I artwork has wireless in many of the homes and it could circulate slowly reckoning on your connection velocity.

the price of dsl is usally 50 or so a month.. youl have to contact ur local internet providers to see. bellsouth is pretty good so is comcast high speed ( its what i have and its fast as hell) as for routers and wifi, wifi is usually in resturants as a service for free internet access.. what u need for your laptop is a router. this takes ur broadband connection and broadcasts it... a good router is linksys.. your laptop should have built in wireless. so after u get ur dsl hooked up and your router hooked up ur laptop should auto connect to it. Ps if you get a router make sure u secure it, other wise people relativley close can get on the internet for free...through your connection.
