Delusions.
Consider for a moment the vast number of religionists in the world. Tens of millions...
Consider for a moment what the vast majority of them believe.
Consider for a moment those who believe in divine revelation- from whatever god they worship and how some claim to be in contact with or have had some sort of influence/sighting of their god.
Consider for a moment that if you replace the word god with anything else that these people would be considered delusional.
Consider for a moment that nobody sees anything wrong with a man who claims to have seen god.
Consider for a moment that someone claiming to have seen the Dominoe's Noid in his bedroom at three o'clock in the morning is regarded as mentally ill.
Consider for a moment that anyone having done this has had a hallucination rather than a vision.
Consider for a moment that having seen the Dominoe's Noid rather than god this person would likely be forced to undergo intensive therapy and be heavily medicated.
Consider for a moment that millions of people suffer from depression. This shows us that mental illness is fairly common.
Consider for a moment that the tens of millions of "believers" are actually mentally ill and suffering from delusions.
Just a thought.

Scientific studies indicate there is huge amount of suffering in the world and many many suicides caused by idiots who can't be bothered to spell out complicated words like "people."
