There are all kinds of variables how big of boat &
kind? ,Load , Rpm,speed , etc stay at around 3400=3800 an that's the best range. An speed See how fast your going per rpm an adj to more speed per rpm use trim an watch speed bow down an increase speed till it starts to slow down then bow up to the best speed?? There is a hull speed that your boat has then to go beyond it takes more fuel.

It depends on a lot of factors such as the size, weight and type of boat. For your average 21 foot runabout, figure on about 8 gallons per hour at cruise and 20 gallons per hour at WOT (wide open throttle)

A lot depends on the size and load on your boat, The mean average is between 3-8 gph. That is relative to how fast you are going and the size of the craft, and the conditions it is running under. You failed to tell us if this a runabout or a day cruiser.

Anywhere from 4 to 6 gallons an hour cruising... If you are going full throttle.. then expect 3-4. I had a Buick 4.5 L and thats what that achieved... That was a 19ft larson shark older boat....
