What's a good song to learn for a beginner? Alternative rock/emo that kind of music?

Yup for a little over a year now [[since 2 junes ago]] The first song i learned is wake me up when september ends. i know greeen day- stupid but my guitar teacher suggested it and i had so much fun! i've been hooked ever since!!! Here is a good site for guitar tabulatures [[tabs]]...

Most heavy rock songs are power chords on electric guitar with heavy distortion, which is very easy to play. But you should learn to play basic chords first.

im the best there is out there, ok im not that good but i dont suck
ahhh i remember when i had to learn beginner crap like yankee doodle and mary had a little lamb lmao that shitt is lame
but if your a real real beginner do that stupid stuff other then that.
the first real rock song i learned on the guitar was "heart breaker" by led zeppelin
learn layla or something by eric clapton
his stuff is easy to learn

i play a bit of guitar..but i love my violin! guitar is quite difficult.you shouldnt start learning songs too soon..you should first get good with the basics and stuff.but its really easy to play chasing cars by snow patrol on guitar...

i play bass guitar, but learn some system of a down, that will really help you. try "aerials" dont play the low notes if its too hard.

i play bass... i learned buncha classic rock at first then moved on... i'd go online and find some sweet huitar tabs and try to play songs that you'd like

learn these chords G, C, D, A, F, Bm and E with those basic chords you can almost play anything. after you master those you can explore scales and tabs
