Actually Notre Dame has as many title as USC, though obviously not recently. WHether it is the greatest team ever is a little premature, and how can one really compare teams from different generations, Football evolves so much.
Even saying it is the Greatest USC team ever is hard to claim until after the national championship considering how great the teams playing withPalmer and Lienart were ( and even losing to Texas, It is hard to imagine a team more talented across the board, and with morw depth than Leinarts senior team, they just didn't have VY)
Now i really dont care for USC, but I might consider the Pete Carroll era the best recruiting program of all time.

No, don't give them that title yet, they haven't play a single game, how can you say that. But the potentials is there with so many returning players on both side of the ball, wow is to describe it. I like the 2004 but if the 2006 team didn't lose to Texas, they would be the greatest college team ever, just explosive on offense. But if this team go undefeated and win the title yeah may be, let see first, i can't wait. Fight On!

I still say 95 Nebraska nad USC of 04 (when they beat OU in the Natl Title Game) are better. But this team will probably have the most pro talent off of the starting D than any we've seen

Don't forget Oklahoma's 47-game winning streak that spanned five seasons from 1953-57.

I am a huge USC fan but I wouldn't say that. That is a bold statement that needs a lot of backing up. Dude Calill C shut up about LSU already....do you always have to chime in with your nonsense whenever someone talks about USC? Be your own man....no one outside of LSU cares or talks about them.
