The trouble goes back even further. In the early 1930's the German Nazi party paid the 'Grand Mufti of Jerusalem' to stir up discontent amongst the Muslim Palestinians over the (Zionist) Jews purchasing land from the rich Muslim land owners to build their farms/Kibbutz. The rich land owners were selling off what they thought was either swamp land or desert, but the Jews were putting in hard work and transforming the land into useful farmland.

That was when the reason the 'Palmach' (the forerunner of the Jewish army) was formed to protect the kibbutzes and settlements.

When the UN seperation of Palestine occurred, the surrounding Muslim countries declared war of the new Israel and the Palmach fought off the Arab invaders. Most Palestinians fled the new Israel at the orders of the surrounding Arab nations, and the imams, with the call, "We will drive the Jews into the sea and you will be able to return in a week or two". Unfortunately for the Palestinians, they have never returned, even when the new Israeli government asked them to return.

The root cause of the Palestine/Israel conflict is the Zionist project to take land away from Palestinians and their eventual successful ethnic cleansing from 1947 onwards. The Zionist project began in the late 18th century. From the first they heard of it, the people who inhabited Palestine objected to Europeans invading with the intent to kick them out, refuse them sovereignity in their own land and destroy their way of life. However, Britain supported the Zionists and imposed it on the Palestinians by force of arms.

You might note that although the Zionists supposedly accepted the '48 partition, most of the fighting was attacks by Zionists on Arab villages, towns and cities, and outside the borders allotted to the Jewish state under the plan. In the Jewish part of the proposed partition, about 40% of the people were non-Jewish, it was also a goal of the Zionists to get rid of most of these.

No,and all the gibberish about religious strife centuries ago is stale official history. As is the Nazi nonsense. Most people mind their own business until forced into a corner, and then must box their way out of it.Zionism is the root cause of the ongoing conflict. But even that is an invention of the real warmongers. The illuminati is behind the wars all over the world for over two centuries.Pike wrote the blueprint for 3 world wars in 1871.Things are right in line too.

To find the root causes, you need to go back further in time. Specifically, you might look at the Diaspora in the second century and the Shia/Sunni divide in the seventh century.
