haha you just fully described my sister! She's a Muslim feminist but she's lived in the US since she was 9. She's completely into "independence" and refuses to ever let a man give her money and so on and so on. She drives my parents CRAZY with all her "I'm just the same if not better than most men out there" and she even got engaged to this guy once then broke the engagement because she said that the housework would have to be divided fully equally between the both of them since they both work, and so would the cooking and so on and he refused saying that he is REQUIRED to work being as he is a man and she doesn't have to and she is REQUIRED to do housework being as she's a female and that should go before work. She left him like 5 minutes after he uttered those words =)

There was a woman featured on cnn.com a few months ago who hosts a radio show in the middle east that discuss taboo subjects like sex and also family issues and the treatment of women, but I can't for the love of me remember her name.
But the prophet Muhammad himself supported women's rights, it is in the Qur'an. In fact, most people who convert to Islam are women, and it is because the Qur'an gives them more rights than the Bible does. Although no names pop up in my head, the sites below should help you find some.

I'm sure there's at least one Muslim feminist in this world... after all, there are gay Republicans. It SOUNDS weird, but hey... with billions of humans inhabiting this world, anything's possible.
