What? Assuming you're an adult I guess you could go. But wouldn't the respectful thing to do be to wake her and tell her you're leaving and will be back in a while? Either that, or I guess you could leave her a note although that doesn't sound like the best way to communicate (a note wouldn't fly with me). Why would you have to wait until she's asleep to go to the bar?

How would you feel if it was the other way around? If your wife is okay with it then go. If not..... well it is your choice but do you want to cause problems between the two of you? Why not invite her to go to the bar with you or have some drinks at the house.

Are you a man of character, or a self centered jerk? You should be in bed with the wife or read a good book. Save the bar money you 2 go to a movie....

Why should you wait until she asleep?! You're doing something she wouldn't approve of? I wouldn't do anything differently when my husband/wife is asleep than when she's awake! There must be a reason you have to wait until she's asleep. What if something happened & she needed you & you weren't there? Ever think of that? If there is a problem, do as another posted - try AA! It works!!!

Ugh, Hello no!!!what is wrong with you. That s so disrespectful as a mate. What if something happened to you or her for that matter. You would never forgive yourself.I think you just need to put your loving arms around her and fall asleep together.Heck, you can dream about going to the bar.If I were her, I so would not trust you.If I woke up and my significant other was gone,I would whoop his ***.

Yes, of course you can. I'd leave a little note on your pillow so that she doesn't get concerned.

Just by reason that you are married doesn't mean that your spouse owns you or your emotions. Society seems to place far too many expectations on couples and really, you ned your own space sometimes. Go to the bar.. and have a couple of beers. Check with her first though ... lol.

No. Its disrespectul and deceitful... you want to stay married? Whatever u want to do AT THE BAR, wake ur wife up and spend time with her.. love her... talk to her about what u need.. whether its relaxing time with her, a calm evening home, a massage, or a night out WITH her... but you dont do anything that would harm your trust or marriage!! Wake her up!! LOVE her...

Heehee, I had to laugh at this question because it reminded me of my ex-husband:) We had gone out one night (our anniversary) and I had eaten a couple bites of chicken dumpling soup and didn't eat anymore (thank God) because it didn't smell right. Turns out it was bad, and a couple hours later I had full blown food poisoning and thought I was going to die!! He wouldn't take me to the emergency room, but he waited for a few hours until I could go more than 30 minutes without throwing up and then, he must have thought I was sleeping because he took off and went to the bar!!! I started calling for him because I needed a drink of water and....no answer. I was roasting, so I was naked and I pulled myself across the carpet, across the hallway into the bathroom to get some water. Then, I made it halfway back across the hallway and it was too far so I laid there in the hallway butt naked when he came back home.....with about 10 of his friends!!! (the hallway was in FULL view of the front door). It's been about 5 years, but I can laugh about it now:) This probably didn't answer your question at all, but the memory made me laugh.....maybe you'll get a kick out of it too:)

being sneaky is not the answer. Unless your intentions for going to the bar are bad, I don't see why you can't openly talked to wife about going to the bar.
