many grad schools say they only accept applicants with an honors bachelor's degree.

my major isn't offered in an honors program, but i will still have a 3.7 and a high GRE score upon graduation. will these schools really not accept me just because my major wasn't an honors program, or will my good grades prop me up?

"Many" grad schools might be an exaggeration. I don't know of many schools that require this. You can certainly get into a grad school without an honors degree. Whether your 3.7 is strong enough for a graduate program depends upon your field and the graduate program.

I am a physician, and I wasn't required to have an honors bachelor's degree to get into grad school. I won't worry, your interview, and other things are more important.

i haven't heard of that many grad schools that only accept applicants with an honors BA. Usually you just apply & in some cases get interviewed, then they let you know if you got in.

so to answer your question, no, you don't need an honors BA.

as long as you finished the prerequisite classes a scientific college would not care one way of the different with reference to the issue of your degree, different than for communique for the duration of your interview. regardless of the undeniable fact that, the three standards utilized in assessing all applicants is the undergrad usual GPA, the GPA in the prereqs and the MCAT rankings. The admission committees won't element in a complicated degree in case you do no longer bypass the 1st cull according to those 3 aspects. in case you haven't any longer sustained the grades in undergrad, it is not going which you will in grad college. learn conduct are deeply ingrained behaviors, so it is unlikely your grades will strengthen. Your applicable action could be to repeat the classes that are bringing your GPA down, noticeably if any of them are a prereq.
