It is a state of plateau which you have climbed to after working hard and, where you would like to rest in the feast of recollection of your achievement.

Happiness is a misguided notion that causes suffering.

In a pleasure focused or hedonistic society, doing what we want is equated to being happy. Doing what we wants is not always in our best interest and often has longer term negative consequences.

But alas, I think we are all taught to seek it out. The basic pattern of addiction.

Happiness is the end product of a thought process where we decide that we are discontented or dissatisfied with the moment or with reality.

Unfortunately, no one can explain real happiness in words. You have to feel it yourself.
The action to get happiness will differ from person to person. But generally, happiness is a holic that pulls in a direction and finally prove that it is not enough, and you need to find out something more than that.

In simple terms happiness is being yourself , naturally. It is our nature to feel happy always as can be seen in a child` life. Happiness is just a state of mind that you desire to be in . It is the innate urge of the inner soul , to be in equilibrium with your outer self.

But , many times ( if not at all times) the outer situations donot allow us to be at peace and that disturbs the equilibrium. For want of any other word to describe this we call it "unhappiness"

Happiness is the state you find yourself in when you have decided that you like being who and what you are right now. Instead of what you may think other people think of you or what you think they think of you. Be yourself and you will achieve whatever state of happiness you wish.
